I’m a morning person at heart. It’s a trait I inherited from my parents. There’s just something about the crisp air and the light peeking through the clouds that always has me ready for the day ahead.
However, I know I’m in the minority.
The world is beautiful in the day and some would argue its just as glowing at night:
Hard to argue with these:
1. New York, USA
Known as the city that never sleeps, New York is the concrete jungle where dreams are made of (source: Alicia Keys).
Is it hard to sleep there because inhabitants just stare out of their windows in awe of the beauty they find themselves in?
2. Dubai, United Arab Emirates
The city that served as the setting of the Sex and the City sequel (please don’t ask how I know that) is one of the most picturesque cities in the world. I have an image of it as my desktop wallpaper and I still have my breath taken away every time an image rises on the CityPorn subreddit.
3. Hamburg, Germany
Clearly, the deliciously named Hamburg has a lot more going for it than being distantly related to Big Macs.
Question; how do citizens of Hamburgs feel about being referred to as Hamburgers? I would personally have no objection to being called something so tasty.
4. Rio De Janeiro, Brazil
As Vin Diesel said in Fast 5ive: “This is Bra-zeel!”
It will also play host to the 2014 Fifa world cup, no better place to discuss football than on one of the many sandy beaches Rio has to offer.
5. London, England
Oh, so this is where those guys that lost the Ashes are from.
At least they have this going for them.
6. Hong Kong, China
Only reintegrated into China in 1999, you can see why the British were reluctant to give back this beautiful metropolis.
Its like me refusing to share my fries when I was younger (ok, I still fail to share my fries).
7. Salzburg, Austria
The literal translation of Salzburg is “Salt Fortress”
How can you possibly be salty living in a city this beautiful?
8. Singapore, Singapore
Singapore is notorious for having some of the strictest no-littering policies in the world. Also, Singapore noodles are delicious.
9. Sydney, Australia
Known as the harbour city, the best place to spend New Year’s Eve and not Melbourne; Sydney is without a doubt one of the most beautiful cities in the world day or night.
